CHAPTER 15 VERSE 1
I am the true vine and My Father is the vinedresser.
The
vine produces wine that creates fun and joy. The Lord here speaks symbolically.
Christ is the joy of a person and he who will be planted in the vine of Christ
and increase the commandments in his life, he will be filled with the fruits
and the signs and the gifts of the Holy Spirit. These are the products that the
vine of Christ produces. These will make a person a fruitful tree which will
gain eternal joy. The Father is the One who creates the vine (world). The
farmer which is God, the Father, is the One who knows and acts accordingly on
each vine the time it needs to bear fruit of wisdom. Since we were called in
the vine of God we shall remain in it, so the care of God will be given to us
eternally. Let this be done… Amen.
CHAPTER 15 VERSE 2
Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit He takes away; and
every branch that bears fruit He prunes that it may bear more fruit.
The
vine yard is large (all creation and all inhabited logic beings in it, humans)
and in it grows vines, trees people etc… if the ground does not have the
appropriate ingredients, then the vine (human) cannot grow. The reasons for the
vine not growing are referred in the parable of the sower. What then shall we
say? Can God replant this tree to bear fruit somewhere else? Certainly He can.
But what God respects and He does not move this tree somewhere else to produce
fruit, is the free will of the person not to want to grow but instead to stay
in the unsuitable ground. Unsuitable ground is the weakness of a person which is
manifested within the family environment and they do not allow him to be
replanted. Another reason for the vine (human) not growing is when the ground
does not have the right ingredients such as; spiritual, positive, heavenly
environment enlightened by the Holy Spirit. Today God acts through the voice of
God and He is creating spiritual bible studies in homes of His people where
everyone can find a suitable fertile ground to grow. Another obstacle for the
vine not growing is the concerns and the cares of the materialistic world. The
reasons that the vine (human) is thrown in the fire are stated in the parable
of the sower. Let us read it carefully. The parable of the Sower is in the
Gospel of Matthew. The vine (human) which bears fruit is the one who has good
intentions and through knowledge and practice lays deep roots in order to draw
all the elements from the soil which it needs in order to grow. When the trees
live in an environment which is not faced with adversity, they do not develop
deep roots and in a sudden change of weather with strong winds they fall. In
the contrary, the tree that grows in parts with strong winds (cleanliness, practice,
adversity) this tree is shaken continually left and right and moves continually
his upper part. This causes the area around the tree to move and the roots move
in the ground. As a result, in this tree the ground obtains soil pockets and
the roots are forced to grow to fill the pockets. In case of strong winds this
tree is solid with tremendous strong roots and it won`t fall. This tree is like
a person who is called by God and tries to increase in his life spiritual activity
and he does not refrain to struggle with adversity. Surely, he understands that
in order for him to live, he has to depend on the farmer and the vine yard.
This vine, the tree which fights, symbolizes the person who is governed by
wiliness, by positive decision, sincerity and honesty in his spiritual growth
in God and his desire to bear fruit in hundred folds. The parable of the Sower
reveals these vines (people) which grow in God and do not fall into the fire
(death). I wish that we all understand the call of God, so with practice, to
increase spiritually in the vine yard of the Lord so the Farmer can take heed
in our effort to produce fruit and He will cleanse us and we shall bring forth
lots of fruits. We grow step by step, faith to faith every single day of our
life. The fruits that God notices and will bless us is love and sacrifice.
Also, what He will notice is the decision to follow Him and our honesty. I wish
we all develop these components in our lives and let`s be sure that we will
reign in the centuries of centuries with God. Let this be done…. Amen.
CHAPTER 15 VERSE 3
You are already clean because of the word which I have spoken to
you.
Those
who accept the voice of God and develop it in their lives it is matter of time
to reach holiness,( the Lord here speaks symbolically and today we see that He
was right) except for the portion of people who follow the path of Judas. God
forbid for such person to exist. Those who have accepted the voice of God it is
a matter of time to reach holiness.
CHAPTER 15 VERSE 4-6
Abide in Me and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of
itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me.
I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me and I in him, bears
much fruit; for without me you can do nothing. If anyone does not abide in Me,
he is cast out as a branch and is withered; and they gather them and throw them
into the fire, and they are burned.
God
is the Creator, He is the life-giving organism, He is the mother and the Father
of a human being. If we reject him we will be like the prodigal son with
natural consequence to live off carob which is produced by the world and its
system that we live in. This will have an apparent result subsequent on us with
evidence of deterioration, like fatigue, corruption, old age, ego etc… and
these will prevail in our lives. Elements which cannot fill us spiritually or
materialistically,
but only to become the cause for us to flee away from God. These elements I repeat
are; egoism, sin, wickedness, ambitions with unfair ways, that a person wants
to achieve into his life to prevail to others his ego. Be aware that before the
fall, comes selfishness. This is the biggest demon which can drive us away from
God. Ego is increased within us slowly, slowly, with the desire of worldly
authorities and powers. I have noticed that when people are poor in spirit and
in material are humble. But when worldly powers are given to them and they are
recognized by other people, or they gain money or a title, then these people
end up establishing in them a huge ego. We need to be aware that whatever we
acquire, either material or spiritual, to use it with the goodness of Christ and
to present whatever God blessed us with humility towards others. Humility is
shown when we are giving the glory to God, because it is God after all that
wants to bless us with gifts and He is the energy and acts for us, not because
we deserve it but for us to become good stewards of His gifts, lest we are
saved. If we stay close to God then the tree of life and the wisdom of God will
grow and will flourish within us and around us, so that other people can find
spiritual food (eternal life, refuge) when they come close to us.(spiritual
family)
The
way we stay close to God is to increase daily three elements in our lives. The
first; study the word of God in daily basis so the devil does not find fertile
ground to fool us spiritually and grow within us. He, the devil, when we do not
study, comes and slowly, slowly, without us noticing, leads us to his own
house. Secondly; we need to preach the Gospel of the kingdom without shame “He
who will confess Me, I will confess to the Father”. The Lord revealed to us
that when we confess our faith, when we confess Christ, not only we win the
Father but also we shape over time a powerful character in God where we never
fail. The third is to find time to pray. We start from 1 hour a day and slowly,
slowly, we enter in a continual prayer in order the wisdom of God and the Holy
Spirit to manifest in our words and in our actions. Then God is evident to us
by the Holy Grace and wisdom. We know that Christ is life, He is the eternal
joy. Away from life (Christ), the natural consequence is to be overshadowed by
death; as darkness is far away from the light. The person who does not stay in
Christ, is cut off like the branch from the vine and dries up and withers,
because the juices of life stop flowing as rivers of living water in his womb.
Forbid this to happen…. Amen.
CHAPTER 15 VERSE 7
If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what
you desire, and it shall be done for you.
We
are with God when we implement His commandments. We are not with God when we
say we are Christians but we do not apply His commandments. With God we do not
have to ask and say we want this and that; but when we practice His will, let
us be sure that He knows what we need and He hands it to us immediately. In the
Bible He refers to us and says that if we as carnal parents and being wicked know
how to give good things to our fleshly children how much more would our
Spiritual Father will know how to give good things to His spiritual children?
Since God knows what we need, let us trust Him and be confident that the
surprises of God towards us in material and spiritual domain will flow one
after the other. Let this be done….
Amen.
In
the beginning, a young spiritual person can sit down and pray for hours and ask
for millions of things. However, the more we ask only about ourselves and our
family, the furthest we are from the will of God. The more we grow in
spirituality and enter the depths of the wisdom of God and we implement His
commands then our prayer prevails. “Please Lord let your mercy chase me in all
the days of my life.” Let this request predominate always in us and around us.
What do we ask and for what all day? We have so much. Why we do not look for
something which God has given us to give to our fellowmen. This is the essential
with substance prayer to God in order for us to become chosen vessels and
practice the will of God. And when we pray we pray for all our brothers and
sisters and for their needs. When we care for the salvation of others we will
be saved and gain eternal life also. Then we are blessed by God. Let this be
done…. Amen.
CHAPTER 15 VERSE 8
By this My Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit; so you
will be My disciples.
God
is not glorified with various rituals or by saying that we are Greek Orthodox
while others are not, or when we use any other doctrine. God will not save the
dogma but He will save those who apply the word of God. In the Bible, He
stressed, “he who applies, he will be saved”. God is glorified when we use all
our means in the spiritual and in the material domain as a sacrifice and become
servants when it’s needed to rejuvenate others. Paul the Apostle states “you
are the seal of my mission”.
Through
so many years of spiritual work, I noticed that the only element that brings
God to us is sacrifice. Sacrifice brings God in us, creates spiritual family
and spreads the Gospel of the kingdom. Some people preach but they do not
become trustworthy and believed by others and instead of them reflecting and
change themselves, they blame others for being infidels. They do not realize
that they are the cause because they preach with words and not with their
actions. Those people who are not able to spread the Word of God, the can help
materialistically or by their presence the ones who can and have the power to
spread the Gospel of the kingdom in order to reach to the day of the Lord
quickly. The spread of the message is necessary and proceeds from the
cleansings of the soul because if I cleanse and do not spread the message to
others I will enter life through death. But if we spread the Gospel of the
kingdom then the holy nation of God will appear and these sons and daughters of
the living God will have elements which will stimulate the Lord to make His
second coming and to reign in the world through His new disciples. Let this be
done… Amen.
CHAPTER 15 VERSE 9
As the Father loved Me, I also have loved you; abide in My love.
The
Father loves the Son because the Son willingly put His life down to become the
sacrifice, the ransom for many and through Him the Heavenly Father was
glorified. Through the Lord, the Father showed the greatest love He has for
human kind. The Lord not only put his life down for the ones that loved and
accepted Him but also for His enemies. Likewise, if we want to have the
pleasing of the God in us, His love and exhortation in our lives, we need not to
put our lives down, but to have sincere love towards God and neighbor with
works with sacrifice. I wish we can all do this. Let this be done… Amen.
CHAPTER 15 VERSE 10
If you keep my commandments, you will abide in My love, just as
I have kept My Father’s commandments and abide in His love.
The
Word of God refers to God’s commandments and it is our responsibility to study
in order to find them. When we study, it is a good idea for us to write them
down and to take notes, so we can understand them. This way in our everyday
life we act and speak in all, external and internal factors, by the Holy
Spirit. When we act spiritually we have full knowledge of God’s will and we are
heading the right direction. Only then, when we understand the mistakes of
yesterday which were based on infringement, sin and incorrect way of approaching
God, then these mistakes will be restricted. By studying we shall get to know
which the commandments of God are for us. Second, to understand which are the
commandments of God towards others, third, to understand the promises of God
towards us and finally, to understand which are the commandments towards our
enemies. Only this way we will gain awareness and the spirit of God. Let this
be done…. Amen.
CHAPTER 15 VERSE 12-13
This is my commandment, that you love one another as I have
loved you. Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one’s life for
his friends.
Whoever
loves God should also love his brother. Otherwise that person will never see
God. Our love towards others is shown by
sacrifice, by grace and by mercy. No need for us to put down our life for
anyone. The Lord did that for us. What is needed is to work for the glory of
God by the rejuvenation of our fellowmen. Amen. One was sacrificed for the
whole world. And nobody else needs to sacrifice himself. The person who loves Christ
and works acts of love and mercy, he will not lose his soul. Amen.
CHAPTER 15 VERSE 14-15
You are My friends if you do whatever I command you. No longer
do I call you servants for a servant does not know what his master is doing;
but I have called you friends , for all things that I heard from My Father I
have made known to you.
A
friendship is created under circumstances which are chosen by the people
themselves through their own free will and their freedom to become friends. Christ
is the friend of love, peace, justice, humility. If we are friends of these
elements and we apply the principles of God, our Father, then, we also become
friends of Christ by our own free will, heirs of God, partakers and coheirs in
the glory of God. Therefore, if we love the Gospel which reflects and expresses
the principles and laws of God automatically we become friends of the Lord. I
wish this to all people. Let this be done…. Amen.
CHAPTER 15 VERSE 16
You did not choose Me, but I chose you and appointed you that
you should go and bear fruit, and that your fruit should remain, that whatever
you ask the Father in My name He may give you.
When
we spread the word of God which off course is His voice, many people are
attracted to follow God. These people need to see also, our example and our
love. But what makes a person to love
and to bring in his life the life of Christ is to be attracted and chosen by
the Father Himself. Therefore if God does not bless and build the building, the
building which is built with lots of sacrifice, battles and tests, all this
labor will be in vain.” Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above
and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or
shadow of turning.” Only with the blessing of God a person can bring forth
fruit and for this fruit to stay in the eternal centuries. Amen.
CHAPTER 15 VERSE 17
These things I command you, that you love one another.
In
our world today, Christianity exists but the people of God do not yet exist.
The reason for this is because people have built individual reigns (kingdoms)
and created an individual God. Unfortunately, they all boast and say “God has
given me this and that etc… If we want to preach the Gospel and be governed by
it and prevail over corruption and death, we shall increase love among us. The
unconditional love of Christ if it’s shown through us, the world will see it
and follow Christ. Jesus told His disciples “You are known as My disciples if
you love one another. Otherwise, the true God will not be revealed.
CHAPTER 15-19
If the world hates you, you know that it hated Me before it
hated you. If you were of the world, the world would love its own. Yet because
you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, therefore the world
hates you.
Hate
comes from jealousy and from the blindness which is possessed by the person who
cares only for himself, his ambitions and selfish interests and is saturated by
excessive egotism. If we are hated by people who are possessed from the above,
it is wise for us to be cautious and behave with wisdom because we are the red
cloth in their eyes. The Lord stresses “Do not give the holy to the dogs”. They
will use it to hurt you soon or later. Also in the Bible it says “Be quiet as a
snake and simple as the dove.” If the scandals which we create are originated
from ego and selfishness we will fail. But if we create scandals because we
work for the glory of God and the salvation of the world with all humbleness,
then whoever is offended by our actions and judges and condemn our good fight,
will pay the wage. “Blessed are you who are persecuted in My name. Rejoice
because great will be your wage in heaven.”
Let this be done…. Amen.
CHAPTER 15 VERSE 20
Remember the word that I said to you, “A servant is not greater
than his master. If they persecuted Me, they will also persecute you. If they
kept My word, they will keep yours also.
The
servant cannot be greater than his master, unless illegally he grabs the power
and the possessions of his master. This is the sad case for many Christians.
Some devious people grabbed the power of Christ in their hands and they think
they are the ones. They exercise control over others, fear and condemnation to
anyone who works essentially for the glory of God and the salvation of the
world. Thank God we live in a democratic society with free speech otherwise
these people would burn others on the stick if they did not do what they were
told or what is expected, even though their acts are for the will of God they
would still be condemned. The servant of God must be a servant like the
disciples, who sacrificed their own lives for the glory of God and for the
salvation of the world. Moreover, the Lord pointed out that the greatest among
you is the least (the one who serves). The servant of God will suffer
persecution because of the ignorance which exists in our world today due to the
increase of negative elements in our societies which blind the people and do
not allow them to recognize the truth, because they are deceived and confuse
the lie as the truth. However the person of God will be strengthen by the
persecution and will become a chosen vessel of God since he will remain
steadfast on the principles of God. Therefore, when this person will overcome
with God’s help the persecution he will be stamped by God as a true child of
His. This happens because the persecution becomes the cause for this person to
unite with God and create a strong godly character. Finally, suffering persecution
reveals the love we have towards God because we do not allow anything to become
an obstacle to separate us from the love of Christ. Paul the Apostle reveals
“What can separate us from the love of Christ? Hunger, nudity, sadness,
persecution, death? Nothing! In the name of God and for principles of the
Gospel we are able to die or live at any moment. Therefore, let us not be
afraid of the judgment of others nor be shy or embarrassed of our desire that
we have to serve the will of God in our lives. It is this desire that will
bring heaven in us and make us friends of the Lord. Today, it is the devil that
reigns in our human societies and in order for Christ to reign we need to work
hard to succeed. God will bless us continually so we can have the desire to
sacrifice material and spiritual assets. It takes patience; it takes faith; we
cannot rest and say God loves us and boast day and night for what we have when
all around us people live in misery. It is the will of God for us to give and
take care of others in need. God does
not bless the demand of our personal benefit instead He will bless the demand
for the salvation of all humankind. Finally, we need to find the strength,
which we will draw from the love of Christ, and fight to keep the relationship
which God developed with us and us with Him. Furthermore, the Gospel of Christ
and blessings of God did not fall on us from the sky but some other people who
took the mission and decided to come and tell us and transmit it in our lives.
We welcomed and accepted the message because we recognized the great value of
God in our lives. Likewise, we shall imitate them and respect their advice in
order to walk righteously in God. God does not promise to anyone who comes to
Him a dowry but He invites the person to work and sacrifice. Definitely, when
this person takes the decision to serve God he will be blessed hundred fold and
be transformed to a chosen vessel where he will prove his love toward God and
his fellowmen and he will live eternally in the centuries to come in the
kingdom of love. Therefore let us carry the great mission which we have
received from above and bring it forth with the power and grace of God upon us.
Let this be done… Amen.
CHAPTER 15 VERSE 21
But all these things they will do to you for My name’s sake
because they do not know Him who sent Me.
This
ignorance will only go away when we preach the Gospel of the kingdom of God
everywhere. Amen.
CHAPTER 15 VERSE 22-25
If I had not come and spoken to them, they would have no sin,
but now they have no excuse for their sin. He who hates Me hates My Father
also. If I had not done among them the works which no one else did, they would
have no sin; but now they have seen and also hated both Me and My Father. But
this happened that the word might be fulfilled which is written in their law,
“They hated Me without a cause”.
When
the Lord came on this earth indeed He was persecuted, despised, ignored and
killed. Today the Lord is not persecuted. Actually, He has become accepted.
However, the Christian world has fallen into a trap. The trap is as follows;
people so called Christians build temples, preach the Gospel and hold many
religious events in the name of Christ, however no one wants to apply God’s
will in their lives even though they boast and declare their belief. Where is
the love among Christians? Nowhere!! Where is the humbleness of Christ? Today
if we accidentally insult someone else we will find ourselves in the courts. Where
is the sacrifice in the material world for the glory of God? It is very hard to
find; scarcely. Where is this verse of the Bible been applied “From your
abundance may supply their lack- that there may be equality”. So today it is
true we do not hate the Lord with our mouth but regrettably we hate Him with
our heart and that drives us away from God. The reason for this is because we
are ignorant to the Gospel where the truth is revealed. God Himself revealed
that the people honor Me with their lips but their hearts are far from Me.
Please God, forbid this to happen to us.
CHAPTER 15 VERSE 26
But when the Helper comes, whom I shall send to you from the
Father, the Spirit of truth who proceeds from the Father, He will testify of
Me.
The
Lord here refers to the enlightened. It is by the Holy Spirit that we will be
enlighten and shown the way to create the spiritual rebirth of mankind and for
God to dominate and govern the lives of the people through LIFE. With the Holy Spirit, sin will be eliminated than
corruption and death will end and then we will find the way to fulfill the
promise of resurrection of all people who slept in the Lord and finally the
second coming of Christ will take place and He will take over His reign and
complete the rest. Moreover, the work of the Holy Spirit and His mission is to
establish the kingdom of God within us and to reveal the way it will happen.
The idea and the prevalence of the living faith will take place when we work to
gain holiness. Moses worked hard with lots of pain and effort and he
accomplished his mission to the end. The Lord worked hard with pain and grief
and accomplished His mission. Likewise, as the Lord mentions in this verse, He
(the Holy Spirit) will complete His mission with work and devotion. Also,
concerning all of us, for each one of us who want to place God in our
lives and want to follow the Holy Spirit
we shall work hard to win the promises of God and have Him act effectively in
us.
God
is one but split in three entities and this is for us to be shown the unity and
to understand the way God acts. Therefore God became triune. The first entity
is the Father and He made His presence through Moses with signs and wonders.
God created the people of Israel, the Jewish nation who until now still believe
in one God, as they were taught, the one God; monotheism. They do not know yet
the way God acts through His Son and through the Holy Spirit. In time, the
incomplete knowledge of this nation will be elucidated. Paul the Apostle,
pointed out that when the Gospel of God will be preached to the Gentiles
(nations), then the Jews will recognize the Son and the Holy Spirit. Until all
nations have been preached the Gospel and accepted the Word of God, the Jewish
people will only believe to the Father. Besides, when the Ten Commandments are
applied they reveal God. Moreover, the Lord did not come to abolish the law
which was given to the Jewish nation but to fulfill it and to apply it as He
did so. Furthermore, anyone who believes even in one entity of God, even
without being aware of it or having the understanding of how it happens,
automatically he believes and the other two entities. In conclusion, the Father
appeared and acted through Moses. The second entity was born by the Holy Spirit
in the pure ventricle of the Virgin Mary. God begotten a Son in flesh and His
name is Emmanuel or Savior or Messiah or Lord the Christ. He was incarnated as
a man in order for us to see and gain courage to imitate God and do His works.
This person who we shall imitate can perform great miracles and conveys
unconditional love towards friends and enemies. Therefore, we can all manage to
receive His light which is the light the unapproachable and inextinguishable. The
Lord stressed that what He did we also can do. By the coming of the Lord on
this earth all truth and hidden wisdom of the Father was revealed to us. The
word of God, the voice of God is the Gospel of Christ.
The
Father symbolizes silence. The Son symbolizes the Word and the third entity; I
think it is the one that the Lord mentions here in this verse. He who will put
on and manifest in him the Holy Spirit and speak through the Holy Spirit, he
will speak the voice of God with purity and clarity and will be the one in the
final hours,( which we live in) and he will reveal to the people the way to
establish the kingdom of God in the world. He, as a person will be guided by
the Holy Spirit and he will build in him all the incorruptible elements. With
his advice all nations and people will be guided to spiritual renaissance and
to salvation, in order for death to be eliminated and for the living faith to
life to prevail everywhere. Let this be done…. Amen.
CHAPTER 15 VERSE 27
And you will also bear witness, because you have been with Me
from the beginning.
Those
are the people the voice of God calls upon today; the ones that know God and
are with Him and have Him in them. When we are born again (spiritually) we
won’t be fanatical and try to convince the others what we believe. The people
who are not of God and do not know Him, take place in verbal bickering and they
become fanatical towards other faiths. But when God abides in a person then
that person acts with wisdom and he hands out the holy not to the dogs but to
the Sons and Daughters of God who accept it with ease because their heart is
ready to accept Him. This gift is called discerning of Spirits and has
beneficial and valuables qualities. I wish to all the children which belong to
the voice of God to be governed by a humble spirit in order to receive this
gift. The obstacle that becomes the cause for us not to obtain this gift is
insolence and egoism. God please forbid for us to be under the influence of
these demons. Amen.
CHAPTER 16 VERSE 1
These things I have spoken to you that you should not be made to
stumble.
Temptations
are inevitable and there is no way to avoid them, because there is ignorance of
the will of God and also because the two important elements of purification and
holiness lack from our world today. Disciples
of Christ are the ones who can overcome temptations and emerge intact from any
negative situation or any spiritual struggle with the knowledge that they
obtain. We shall always pray and ask from our God “Do not lead us to
temptation”. The Lord knew that His disciples were not ready mentally to see
Him on the cross and they will also be persecuted along with Him. What is
revealed on this verse is that the disciples would come to stumble and deny
Jesus and flee away when the Scribes and the Pharisees arrested Jesus, with the
only exception of John. But the Lord knowing their spiritual level forgave them
and hugged them again. Then He blessed them by sending the Helper, the Holy
Spirit, in order to strengthen them and give them the power to bring forth
their grand mission. Amen.
CHAPTER 16 VERSE 2-3
They will put you out of the synagogue; yes the time is coming that
whoever kills you will think that he offers God service. And these things will
do to you because they have not known the Father nor Me.
This
has already taken place and this prophecy has been fulfilled. Jesus disciples
were persecuted, accused and many were killed. Today the same thing happens;
those who preach the Gospel of the kingdom are persecuted and accused but not
killed because today people have been spiritually regenerated and have human
rights and freedom of speech to express their opinions and worship their faith
in different ways. With these terms, the religious fanatics and bigots cannot
express their hate and evilness to the point of killing someone who wants to
practice and grow spiritually in his own terms. This freedom has been given as
a right to each person from the word of God and it is accepted in our society.
We shall not be afraid to practice our own faith and here I will mention two of
the commandments of God “He who will practice My word and confess My name, he
will be named great and “He who confess Me before others, I will also confess
him before my Father in heaven.” Since
humans live a few years and then die, in my opinion, since death is the future,
it is better to die and work the pure rather live ten more years give or take
and lose our life and soul. The Lord said “He who will lose his life for the
sake of Me and the Gospel, he will gain it” and “What is if you gain the whole
world but lose your soul?”
When
they accuse us fairly or unfairly we shall remember the Lord and how He was
accused and did not retaliate. Likewise, we shall not fight back or
reciprocate.” Love your enemies, bless those who curse you” and try to help
those people to become children of the Father in heaven. We cannot say that we
love God and hate and want to harm the other person. Forbid this from
happening.
CHAPTER 16 VERSE 5-6
But now I go away to Him who sent Me, and none of you asks Me,
“Where are you going?” But because I have said these things to you, sorrow has
filled your heart.
Where is the Father in order for the Son
to go? Even if we know we cannot describe the place because it is
inexpressible. The Lord however, revealed that this place a human eye has not
seen and a human mind has not captured the thought of what God has prepared for
His loved ones. Indeed those who have known God and have invited Him in their
lives, when God is absent they feel sadness. In order for God not to be absent
from our lives we need to indulge in the word of God every day, devote many
hours and stay steadfast in faith until
the word of God acts effectively within us and takes flesh and bones. (Incarnation).
Assuredly, what John the Theologian said will take place in our lives “The Word
became flesh and dwelt among us and saw His glory as the only begotten of the
Father full of grace and truth”. The same shall happen to us so there will be
no sadness. Let this be done …. Amen.
CHAPTER 16 VERSE 7
Nevertheless I tell you
the truth. It is to your advantage that I go away; for if I do not go away, the
Helper will not come to you; but if I depart, I will send him to you.
He, is the one send by the Father and He
is governed by the Holy Spirit. His mission is; to judge the world of sin, to
enhance the true righteousness in the hearts of the people of God (the
righteousness of the people demands while the righteousness of God offers), and
for a person to obtain the correct judgment, which begins in the house of God
which is to know one self and to distinguish the good from the devil in order
to increase the good and evil to disappear. I wish that we all come to meet
this person when he comes and to follow him. The kingdom of God is within us
and the ones in a hurry they grab it. Let’s be aware that if we do not get to
know him it is impossible for the people of God to be enlightened to grow, to
evolve and to understand all the hidden mysteries of God so afterwards through
the living faith to fulfill the promises of God in a personal and on a general
level. Let this be done….. Amen.
CHAPTER 16 VERSE 8
And when He has come, He
will convict the world of sin, and of righteousness and of judgment.
He will convict the world concerning
sin, righteousness and judgment. This means that His spiritual scope is global.
His wisdom will be infinite and since He can judge the whole world it means
that He will be governed by the omnipotence of God and nothing will be able to
block His path. This way the will of the Father will be accomplished in all faithful
positive minded people and the will of God will take place on earth as it is in
heaven.
CHAPTER 16 VERSE 9
Of sin, because they do
not believe in Me.
Sin exists due to the fact that all
people accept God and confess Him with their lips but their hearts are far from
Him. And the strength of sin is the fact that we do not want to apply the Word
of God.
CHAPTER 16 VERSE 12
I still have many things
to say to you, but you cannot bear them now.
The reason they could not comprehend the
words of the Lord was because it was essential for time to go by so a person
could be educated with the passage of time and to arrive in 2000 after Christ
so that though the process of education a person can be able to understand the
wisdom of God, which is increased today variously in our human societies, such
as; science, arts, letters, cultures etc… The human spiritual level must reach
the point of God, so a person can capture the value of love, humbleness, the
peace of Christ, righteousness and finally the living faith. In the last days,
science will also prove the human capabilities which are able to demolish
corruption and death. When this happens,
the faith that we all shall die which exists today in everyone’s mind, it will
be overturned and disappear. And for all this is why the disciples could not
understand and bear His words. Amen.
CHAPTER 16 VERSE 13-14
However, when He, the
Spirit of Truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not
speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will
tell you things to come. He will glorify Me, for He will take of what is Mine
and declare it to you.
The Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit
are one and the same and their teachings do not change. That is why nothing
will be added, as the Lord mentions here. Nothing more can be added because the
Lord said it all and He revealed the principles and aspirations of God, the
Father, towards His creation. Simply, He, the Holy Spirit will remind to the
people of God what the Lord revealed. Only He can lead the people today in the
truth which is purification, sanctification and eternal life. Let this be done…
Amen.
CHAPTER 16 VERSE 15
All things that the Father
has are Mine. Therefore I said that He will take of Mine and declare it to you.
Everything comes from the Father. The
Father is the beginning. He shows his presence by silence. The Son is the one
who enters the mind of God’s Spirit, finds and reveals the hidden values
through the Word and through His presence to a person. The Holy Spirit empowers
the Word, God’s voice, and creates it into action. In this manner, He shows to
the people and points out through Jesus Christ,( who is the only major example),
how the promises of God can take place so that we can reach the image and the
icon of God through the Lord. Let this be done… Amen.
CHAPTER 16 VERSE 16-17
A little while, and you
will not see Me and again a little while, and you will see Me, because I go to
the Father. Then some of His disciples said among themselves, “What is this
that He says to us…
Where is the Father for the Son to go? In
order for someone to please God, the Father, and to get to know Him and where
He is, he must apply the commandments which the Lord revealed. From what we can understand the Father has
three worlds where he makes His Presence known; the material world, the natural
world, the spiritual world; and within the logic, which He granted and placed
in a person, to develop and increase the understanding of the value of life and
the spiritual world, since it is spirit and has the power to replenish and
rejuvenate everything. The Spirit is life. In order for God to be understood by
us and for us to reach our true purpose (created to be the image and icon of
God) He created us with material and granted us the logic, where we are able to
keep the value of life and with the Holy Spirit, as the Helper, we will evolve
and regenerate. So, through spiritual knowledge we perceive the glory of God,
which will become our property once we comprehend it. When a person gets to
know thyself then he will understand and know God within himself. If someone
wants to know where the Father is, he needs first to know the Holy Spirit which
will help him to get to know himself through Christ. Secondly, to get to know,
through the Holy Spirit, the Son and the living Word of God and then the Son
will lead this person to the Father where he will meet the third spiritual
heaven which the Son went and where the Father lives. Paul the Apostle knew the
third heaven because he saw a man being there and he wanted to boast because he
saw God; he saw things which he could not express. For Paul to see this man
means he went there himself. I wish this unto all the children of God which
belong in the voice of God and to all people who love Christ and His Holy
teachings. Let this be done… Amen.
CHAPTER 16 VERSE 18-19
They said therefore, “What
is this that He says, ‘A little while’? We do not know what He is saying.” Now
Jesus knew that they desired to ask Him, and He said to them ”Are you inquiring
among your selves about what I said “A little while” and you will not see Me,
and again a little while and you will see me”?
In this verse, the Lord means two
things; the first is that they will lose Him; He will be crucified and buried
for three days and there will be more days that they would not see Him; but
they will see Him afterwards resurrected and they will receive joy and strength
to continue the charitable worldly work of His Apostolic plan. The second is
that after His ascension in heaven He would leave for a long time, so humanity
can go through the educational training to reach the spiritual love that will
enable to understand the value of the Word of God. So afterwards people can
imitate themselves the examples of the Holy Gospel and to take positive steps
to reach the point to revive their inner world. And also to reach the point to
defeat all enemies, culminating the corruption, the old age, death and then God
Christ will find fertile ground and people who will be guided by holiness,
purification and eternal life. Many people think that when the Lord comes again
He will come to preach. This is a wrong assumption. He came and taught once
with His life. Now He will wait for the day where people will understand and
adopt the Word of God. He will not come as God, nor like a teacher, but He will
come to reign with the saved ones. Let this be done…. Amen. I wish to all of us
to defeat the evil within us and to become like Jesus so we can be among the
saved ones. Let this be done…. Amen.
CHAPTER 16 VERSE 20
Most assuredly, I say to
you that you will weep and lament, but the world will rejoice; and you will be
sorrowful but your sorrow will be turned into joy.
Jesus was absolutely certain that the
disciples would cry and weep because their love would die, their joy would
leave them, the all-powerful life of Christ would not exist and also,
everything that they learned and believed until this time it would disappear
because the disciples had not yet reached that level to comprehend the Lord’s
mission and the significance of His sacrifice and the impending resurrection.
But afterwards, because of the subsequent resurrection they received
inexpressible joy which remained in their hearts and transformed them. This joy
is transmitted until today to us also since we have access to it through the Word
of God. Off course, until we reach spiritual resurrection and rejuvenate our
bodies and souls, we also will have grief and joy combined until joy will
prevail in our lives. The way to avoid big falls is the continuous indulgent on
the Holy Gospel so that the Holy Spirit can find space to safeguard our spirit
and our body. This I wish to all of us. Let this be done… Amen.
CHAPTER 16 VERSE 21
A woman when she is in labor
has sorrow because her hour has come; but as soon as she has given birth to the
child she no longer remembers the anguish, for joy that a human being has been
born into the world.
In our society that we live in,
rejuvenate Christ within us, it feels like a pregnant woman who has fear and
anguish because she does not know what to expect, the experience and how it
feels. But ones she gives birth and sees her child, she overcomes with joy and
forgets all those negative emotions that she had. They disappear magically
instantly. Likewise the person who will choose to manifest holiness in his
life, he will face many adversities; but if he stays steadfast in his faith and
he makes a sincere decision he will succeed. The Bible states that a lukewarm
person does not please God. The sure thing is that if a person will never dare
to practice is already a lost soul. Nevertheless, if we are steadfast in the
Spirit, assuredly, the sorrow will be gone quickly because the Holy Spirit will
manifest in us and produce spiritual antibodies with infinite powers which will
ensure joy and wisdom under any circumstances. I wish this to all of the
children of God. Let this be done… Amen.
CHAPTER 16 VERSE 23
And in that day you will
ask Me nothing. Most assuredly I say to you whatever you ask the Father in My
name He will give you.
We
shall pray and implement God’s will in our lives. God does not hear sinners.
God hears the just. If we cannot become saints let’s at least become just. We
need to ask from God in order to receive the knowledge of those things we do
not understand so we can be able to overcome them. When we apply the
commandments, God hears our prayers and grants us His eternal support.” Ask and
you will be given” as the Lord did and said. When we ask and do receive, our
faith increases and our trust in God. Also, some people ask in the name of other
people (saints), who repented and sanctify themselves and received the pleasing
of God, and in their name they
receive
and find grace. They use mediators to God. There have been many testimonials.
God honors those who fought for His glory and the salvation of the world. Yet
some people call upon the name of the Lord but do not receive. There are two
cases; first one, “you ask and you do not receive because you ask for your own
desires” Second; the time has not come to receive of what we ask. Our prayers
shall always aim the love of God, the love for ourselves and the love for
others. Perhaps the person who does not receive shall question and reflect on
himself what is it that God does not grant and what is the appropriate time to
receive. Let us be reminded of John and Peter in the Book of Acts; they were
outside the Temple where there was a paralytic from birth there asking for
money and Peter replied to him “Money, silver, nor gold I do not have to give
you but in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ arise and walk. Therefore we shall
ask in the name of the Christ and surely we shall receive since firstly we have
ensured our unity with God through our devotion to practice His commandments.
Finally, if we have good intentions we shall be confident that we will receive.
Let this be done …. Amen.
CHAPTER 16 VERSE 27
For the Father himself loves you, because you have loved Me, and
have believed that I came forth from God.
The
only Godsend is the Lord and anyone who loves Him automatically loves the Father
who sent Him also. The three persons of God are not divided and are not
separated and whichever of the three is called upon automatically the other two
is called also. If we take a look around us there are many people who call upon
God without knowing Christ or the Holy Spirit and yet they receive what they
ask for. God does not think as the fanatics in each doctrine think and define
God and mold Him in people’s minds. Our spirit shall be free and wide because the
Word of God in the Bible refers to as such; “God rains for the just and the
unjust”.
CHAPTER 16 VERSE 28
I came forth from the Father and have come into the world. Again
I leave the world and go to the Father.
The
Lord emerged through incarnation. He emerged from the land of divinity which is
ubiquitous and entered (joint) unto the world into the land of creation of
humankind for to create us perfect according to the first plan of God.” Behold
Adam became one of us to know good and evil”. Christ emerged from the Father
and He is guided by the Holy Spirit and through the Holy Spirit, He presents,
works and performs God’s power. This is He (Christ) who revealed the whole and complete truth,
which He implemented and presented by His life, so with the truth, which
was spoken for centuries through the Holy Spirit and the prophets, God appeared
to us in flesh. First, God appeared in the body of Christ and later, in all the
people of God. When He refers that He will go to the Father, Christ implies
that He ended His mighty mission and His salvation plan of humankind and now He
must leave and go to the Father to sit to the right side (pure place) until the
Holy Spirit enlightens people to defeat their enemy; until the last enemy which
is our own bad self; and ultimate defeat death. Since the Lord sat on the right
hand of God, the Father will sent the Paraclete to manifest and reveal the
mission of the Son and Word of the living God to all good intention people who
will emulate Him and will reach the point that they will be governed by love,
humility and finally with imperishable immortal eternal life. Therefore Jesus departs
for God to continue His plan for our salvation through the Holy Spirit
(Paraklete).
CHAPTER 16 VERSE 32
Indeed the hour is coming, yes has now come, that you will be
scattered, each to his own, and will leave Me alone. And yet I am not alone,
because the Father is with me.
They
will scatter because they lost their master and their spiritual level (the Lord
knew) did not enable them to have the strength to continue the work of human
salvation without Him. But with the activation of the Holy Spirit they
would be filled with spiritual power and wisdom of God and follow the path of
Christ. In all of my twenty one years of trying to get to know God and apply
His will in my life, I met many people who began apply and exercise in their
lives the purity and also try to spread the Word of God and I admire their
repentance and effort. However scandals and temptations sometimes in our lives
occur and can cast us out from the truth of the Gospel due to lack of spiritual
knowledge and no training experiences. The temptations are capable to pull a
person back to his own habits and worst. We need to be careful and indulge in
the Word of God daily so we can be steadfast under any circumstances. And if
sometimes we do not understand what is happening, let’s wait and don’t let go
our mission, have patience and continue our practice and the answer will come.
CHAPTER 16 VERSE 33
“These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you can have
peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be a good cheer, I have
overcome the world”
The
word of God, when is studied with care and diligence, it brings peace to the
soul and the body. We need to grow and mature spiritually and recon ciliate
with God, with His wisdom and His power, so we can defeat the temptation of the
world, the quarrel with the material world, which can create tribulation and
grief because we lack the experience and we are not strong to overcome the
world because we feel confused and torn. We need to train and practice the word
of God in our lives so we can obtain the wisdom of God through Christ. A person
who possess patience and performs the relevant practice and has come to make a
sincere choice to practice the will of God, he will get to know God and this
awareness will help him to succeed practicing the will of God in his life
without grief. This person is capable to face the world with his words and
actions and has the power to help others to repent and become spiritual
children like him. Therefore, this person of God rejoices for the mature
spirituality that he possess and people rejoice with him that they got to know
him and they hear the wisdom of God which comes out from his lips. Others see
that he is governed by God’s principles and they also want to imitate him. The
Lord said “Be of good cheer, I have overcome this world” with this statement He
suggests that we can also overcome the world through practice holiness,
cleanliness and purity, which I wish to all children of God. Those who overcome
the world are those who have character of Christ, ideal spirit and authority to
regenerate the world like Jesus, Paul etc… They defeated the world because they
lived by the wisdom of God in this world. I wish we can be like them. Let this
be done…. Amen.
